Serve Our Neighbors

WE STAY BUSY BEING GOD'S HANDS AND FEET

"How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"

We hear that in Isaiah, and then echoed in Romans. As we listen, we try to step in to the beauty of  bringing the most practical manifestations of God’s good news: food for the hungry, shelter for the homeless, repairs for those who cannot afford them.

Lincoln Park Community Services

Respect for the homeless

Over 30 years ago, St. Pauls partnered with several other Lincoln Park churches to provide shelter to the homeless population that was growing rapidly in the neighborhood. That shelter has grown into a separate nonprofit, Lincoln Park Community Services, and we continue to support them, especially via our Community Engagement Program which provides meals and other services to those still on the street.

Youth & Adult Service Trips

Seeking to serve near and far

Every year, St. Pauls sponsors both youth and adult service trips. Our teens have traveled to Appalachia and the border of the US and Mexico to participate in variety of service projects, building and repairing homes and other facilities. Our adults have established an on-going relationship with Three Angels, which serves orphans and at-risk families in Haiti, traveling there annually to repair roofs, build staircases and in many other ways enhance the physical environs of this well-respected organization.
