Confronting Racism and White Privilege with "White Fragility"
March 15, 2020 - 11:30am to 12:45pm

The Faith and Public Issues book study group has decided to continue meeting and has selected White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism as its next discussion text. White Fragility is the 2018 New York Times bestseller that explores the counterproductive reactions white people have when their assumptions about race are challenged and how these reactions maintain racial inequality. The author, Robin DiAngelo, a white antiracist educator, explains how white privilege develops, how it protects racial inequality, and what we can do to engage more constructively.
