Faith and Public Issues

E-mail Print PDF
The Faith and Public Issues program at St. Pauls helps church members and friends explore public issues in the light of their faith. Through these programs we aim to raise the level of discourse about faith perspectives and public issues, throughout our life as a church. The principles on which the program was founded at St. Pauls grew out of the work of Protestants for the Common Good ({http://www.thecommongood.org}), with which St. Pauls is affiliated. Planning for programs is done by a task force that meets monthly on the third Tuesday evening of the month. Programs are scheduled on Sundays at 12:30 p.m. approximately five times a year.

Watch for future Faith and Public Issues Conversations to be publicized on this website. You will be able to reserve space and lunch by e-mail. We hope you will come to listen, learn, and participate. St. Pauls Church is conveniently located near public transportation and free parking is available in Children's Memorial Hospital Parking Garage, be sure to have your parking voucher validated. Who We Are
St. Pauls is a vibrant, progressive, Christian community in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. We are a United Church of Christ congregation. Worship is at the heart of our life together, as we make a joyful sound in our city.

With one foot grounded in our faith history, and the other following Jesus into the 21st Century, we are a traditional church, but not conventional. We welcome diversity, and we welcome you - no matter who you are or where you are on life's journey.
